i would really like to see the meego OS on the n9 (maybe this yeah!) i think are playing with us, not showing us anything new from meego and taking way to long to get the job done and start putting meego out there on some high end devices, COME ON NOKIA!! Mad

I too would certainly like to see a more serious OS than Symbian 3 on something as amazing as the N9 or N8. I hope now that Nokia is searching for a new CEO, they will get it together so we can have more great choices.

I wish Nokia made some U.S. carrier relationships for their high-end handsets. Starting with N8 running meego.

i know everyone else does it, but noooo! not big bad nokia........ if they do that, i'm sure that they will make more money and get more phone out into the market.

maybe they think that they are to good for that but with that 40% drop, they will need to do something and fast (not just get a new CEO)

Waiting 6 months in todays phone business for new product, when your company is struggling is a death sentence for any new device. They need to move fast or else Nokia will be known as the mid to low end handset maker.

In my opinion they already are! Aside from maybe the N900 with its wonderful Maemo 5, if its not the hardware choking the phones it's that blasted Symbian. I vote they just start pumping out Android devices. >Very Happy

Unless of course they ACTUALLY put Meego to work for them soon.

Just imagine a (styled) Nokia N8 running Android 2.2, 12 MP Carl Zeiss lens on back of camera with dual LED flash, 3 or 5 MP front-facing, Pentaband 3G Band I UMTS 2100, Band II (UMTS 1900, US band), Band IV (UMTS 1700/2100, US band), Band V (UMTS 850, US band), Band VIII (UMTS 900, Europe and used e.g. in France and Finland in rural areas), with a Super AMOLED 3.8" to 4" screen (or SLCD) with 16 GB onboard storage with a slot for 32GB of external, 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and HDMI out.

Now get T-Mobile and AT&T to stock this phone online. Priced $299 on new two year or $599 no contract. This would be the best selling high-end phone Nokia ever made.

I would buy two.
